Aurora Aksnes, born June 15 1996 in Stavanger and professionally referred to as Aurora or, sometimes, stylized as AURORA is an Norwegian musician and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15, 2015, and received great reviews from music blogs and the media. Half the World Away, by the Oasis group for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole are just two of her best-known songs. Katy Perry posted a video in which she endorsed Runaway. It earned her some attention. Celebrate the special occasion. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was finding a keyboard in her loft and being intrigued by its sounds. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes encouraged her to make music as a means of development of her own, not to earn money or for to pursue an interest. She began to write her own compositions. Bjork as well as Leonard Cohen are among her most favored composers. Her mother had told her the songs she wrote were not meant to gain fame for her however, but to encourage individuals to recognize the importance of their work and influence in our world at large, she began performing them publicly. She began playing the piano at the age of six, and began writing music at age nine. The family members didn't know about her music until she reached fourteen. Aurora had no idea of being famous. As she says, she loves writing music. Music to her is the only method of feeling anything.
